Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Take some time to rest and acclimate to the local environment. Depending on your arrival time, you might explore the vibrant Thamel area, known for its shops, cafes, and cultural atmosphere. This is your first taste of Nepal, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.
Today, embark on a guided tour of Kathmandu Valley’s most iconic sites. You’ll visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu shrine on the banks of the Bagmati River, followed by the serene Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. Continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with historical palaces and temples, showcasing exquisite architecture. Your day concludes with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), where you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley. This morning, you’ll board a comfortable tourist bus for a scenic drive to Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities. As you travel, enjoy views of terraced fields, rivers, and the majestic Himalayas in the distance. The journey takes approximately six hours, and upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing by Phewa Lake, exploring local markets, or visiting the World Peace Pagoda for stunning views of the lake and the Annapurna range.
After breakfast, you’ll drive for about an hour to Nayapul, where your trek begins. The trail winds through picturesque villages, lush green fields, and charming landscapes. As you trek towards Tikhedhunga, you’ll cross suspension bridges and pass terraced farms. The trek takes approximately four hours, and upon arrival in Tikhedhunga, you’ll settle into a local guesthouse. Enjoy the serene environment and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Today, you’ll trek towards Ghasa, a journey filled with scenic beauty. The trail descends through lush greenery, crosses streams, and reveals stunning views of the surrounding peaks. After approximately seven hours of trekking, you’ll arrive in Ghasa, where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. This village is known for its unique culture and is a perfect spot to experience the local lifestyle.
The trek to Tukuche takes you through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages. The trail meanders along the Kali Gandaki River, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After about five hours of trekking, you’ll reach Tukuche, a charming village famous for its apple orchards. Today, you’ll continue your trek to Kagbeni, a significant gateway to the Upper Mustang region. After approximately five hours of trekking, you’ll arrive in Kagbeni, known for its unique architecture and rich cultural heritage. Spend the evening exploring the village and soaking in the tranquil ambiance.
Your journey continues as you trek to Muktinath, a revered pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The trail offers stunning views and takes you through varied landscapes. After around four hours of trekking, you’ll arrive in Muktinath, where you can visit the famous Muktinath Temple and enjoy the sacred atmosphere. Take time to explore the area and appreciate its spiritual significance.
After a leisurely morning in Muktinath, you’ll trek down to Jomsom. The descent is gentle, and the trail is well-marked, allowing you to soak in the beautiful surroundings. As you trek, enjoy views of the majestic Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountains. Upon reaching Jomsom, you’ll check into your accommodation and have the rest of the day to explore the town, perhaps visiting local shops or enjoying the scenic landscape.
This morning, you’ll take a short and scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The flight offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and surrounding landscapes. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you’ll have the day to relax and explore at your leisure. You might choose to visit some of Pokhara’s attractions, such as the International Mountain Museum or take a boat ride on Phewa Lake.
After breakfast, you’ll depart from Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. The journey offers a final chance to admire the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. Once in Kathmandu, you can explore any sites you may have missed during your earlier visit or shop for souvenirs in Thamel. Enjoy a farewell dinner and share your experiences with fellow travelers.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast at your hotel and take in the last moments of your adventure in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute sightseeing or shopping. The trek is considered moderate in difficulty, making it suitable for trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness. The trails are well-marked, but there are some steep ascents and descents. Prior trekking experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
The best seasons for trekking in Lower Mustang are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is generally stable, with clear skies and moderate temperatures.
