Early morning, you’ll be picked up from the hotel and dropped off at Kathmandu’s airport. You’ll get into the helicopter and begin the ride to Lukla.
Please remember that as this is a mountain helicopter tour, weather changes will lead to a delay or even cancellation of the flight. Please be prepared for the delays.
Refueling at Lukla (2,860m)
After you get on the helicopter, you’ll start the ride to Lukla. On the helicopter ride to Lukla, you’ll be on the top and be able to see the Kathmandu Valley. Look out for the rivers, hills, and many different snow-capped mountains on the way.
The ride from Kathmandu to Lukla will be 45 minutes. There will be a quick stop in Lukla for refueling. Lukla is a small town located in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. It is popular for being the starting point for the Everest Base Camp Trek and the shortest airport runway.
After refueling, the tour will continue with an overflight of Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp.
The helicopter ride from Lukla will be a thrilling one. You’ll be awed by the mesmerizing views of the Khumbu Glacier, rivers, and green hills.
